Mayor Krier explained the Town Hall meeting process and stated there was no special topic for
this evening. Members in the audience were invited to make comments on any topics.
Comments were then received from the following individuals:
Audrey Haley, Marion Street. Ms. Haley has lived in Morton Grove for over 40 years voiced
comments on teardowns in her neighborhood. Her concern included issues as to load limits on
public rights-of-way, property maintenance, and the destruction of the character of the
surrounding neighborhoods. Mayor Krier responded that builders are responsible for damage to
roadways which occurs as the result of construction. All property owners should get tickets of
their property is not maintained. Ms. Haley also had a question regarding the status of affordable
housing. Mayor Krier responded this was an issue the Board was committed to. The Village had
recently conducted a forum on affordable housing approximately two weeks ago and it is the
Mayor's belief in order to create more affordable housing the Village Board will have to provide
financial assistance.
There being no further business, Trustee Staackmann moved to adjourn the Town Hall meeting
at 7:18 pm. The motion was seconded by Trustee Senensky and approved unanimously pursuant
to a voice vote.
